In a nice period 1/4 red leather binding, marbled paper covered boards. 15 charming wood engravings throughout.
In VG+ condition, gilt title and rules on the spine, binding sound and tight, gently worn, some foxing and staining from old leaves internally, but overall very acceptable.
4" x 6" H. 284 pages. A very scarce juvenile. It would seem these were individual issues (almost chapbooks) issued separately, which were then collected together (and bound by the publisher?), here found with an index added at the front.
