Hughes. 30 pp. Illustrated through-out with wonderful "high-key" chromolithographs of children throughout the year. The high quality type of printing and children's book Tuck is rightly so famous for.
Good++ to VG (perhaps even VG+; we grade conservatively) condition, some inevitable minor edge chipping and surface soiling/ scuffing to pictorial paper covered boards, floral endpapers, hinges cracked (coated paper in these types of books is often too heavy for the fragile paper hinges), every page chromolithographed, some plates in "high-key" colors.
Some of the pages have small "pulls", where the color has adhered to the facing page (a fairly typical problem with these sorts of books- we have shown you the worst one, most of the plates are fine), but mostly the pages are still clean and readily enjoyed. Any reasonable collector of this sort of book should be delighted by its condition. A very scarce Tuck title.
