Here we have a beautiful ornately gilt mid-19th century publisher's period full leather binding. Smooth spine in five gilt-ruled compartments, gilt devices and title; leather is gently rubbed at spine head wit a couple of areas very lightly scuffed - a splendid shelf appearance, nonetheless. Patterned gilt boards, leather smooth and supple, board corners lightly bumped w/ minimal edgewear. Leather rubbed at joint ends. Binding tight and sound. a.e.g.
Interior mostly clean, scattered foxing heavier on endpapers. Previous owner's inscription on second free endpaper, "Franc A.C. Davey - Presented by her Mother - Aug. 20/70".
In very good to near fine condition.
684 pp. with 52 pp. of indices. Measures 5" H. x 3 3/8" W.
