A wonderful collection of late 19th century photographs of Cherbourg, France reproduced here by lithographic method in an accordion style tourist album most popular in the 1880's and 1890's. Sharp, pleasing images, many nautical scenes relating to the towns naval arsenal, including busy nautical scenes, carriages, people, panoramic views, most of the major tourist sites, etc.
Mostly clean antiquarian condition. Measures c. 5 " W x 3 1/2" H when closed. Gilt embossed decorative boards.
